AI Photo Editing
Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 14, 2026
Overview
AI Photo Editing (the “app”) is operated by AI Editor LLC (“we,” “our,” or “us”). This policy explains what information we handle when you use the app and how we protect it. We built the app to keep your photos private: we do not store your photos on our servers, and we never use them to train AI models.
Information We Collect
Account
- You sign in with Sign in with Apple. We identify your account using the anonymous account identifier Apple provides.
- We do not collect or store your name or email address. If you use Apple’s “Hide My Email,” that also applies.
Photos & Prompts
- Photos are only accessed when you explicitly select or capture them.
- When you request an edit, the selected photo and your text prompt are sent over HTTPS to our backend, which forwards them to our AI provider, fal.ai, to generate your edited image.
- Our backend processes your photo and prompt only in memory to complete the edit — we do not store them on our servers or use them to train models.
- Your photo and prompt are used by fal.ai solely to produce your edit and are not retained afterward. The generated image is delivered to your device and then removed from the provider’s temporary storage. fal.ai’s handling of data is governed by its own privacy policy.
- Edited images you keep are saved in the app’s history on your device. They stay on your device until you delete them or remove the app, and are not copied to our servers.
Purchases
- Credits are sold as in-app purchases processed by Apple. We never see or store your payment card details.
- We keep a record of your credit balance and the Apple transaction identifiers for purchases, so we can grant credits and honor refunds.
Usage & Diagnostics
- We record minimal, non-content usage data: a coarse country (derived at our network edge, not your precise location), and per-edit metadata such as timestamps, image size, edit mode, and credits used. We never log your photos or prompts.
- To protect against fraud and abuse, the app registers a device-integrity key using Apple’s App Attest. This confirms requests come from a genuine copy of the app; it does not identify you.
Face & Biometric Data
- AI Photo Editing does not collect, detect, scan, map, generate, or store face data, facial recognition data, faceprints, facial geometry, or any other biometric identifiers.
- The app does not use facial recognition and includes no face-detection, face-tracking, or facial-landmark technology — for example, it does not use ARKit face tracking, the Vision framework’s face-detection requests, or any facial-feature extraction — and it does not use Face ID.
- When you edit a photo, the entire image is treated as generic image data and is used only to produce the edit you request from your text prompt. The app never singles out, analyzes, identifies, or builds a template of any face. A photo that happens to contain a face is handled no differently from a photo of a landscape or an object.
- Because we collect no face or biometric data, none is used, disclosed, shared with third parties, or retained. How the images you submit are handled, shared (with fal.ai, Apple, and Cloudflare — or, for the optional Classic Version, DeepAI), and retained is described in the “Photos & Prompts,” “Third-Party Services,” and “Data Retention” sections of this policy.
How We Use Information
- To provide and operate the app (create your account, process edits, grant and track credits).
- To secure the service and prevent fraud and abuse.
- To understand overall usage and improve the app.
- To comply with legal, tax, and financial obligations.
Third-Party Services
- Apple — Sign in with Apple (authentication) and the App Store (payments).
- fal.ai — the AI provider that generates your edits. Photos and prompts are sent here for processing. See fal.ai’s privacy policy.
- Cloudflare — hosts our backend and database and provides edge networking.
- DeepAI (Classic Version only) — the app includes an optional legacy “Classic Version” in which you supply your own DeepAI API key and your edits go directly to DeepAI, bypassing our accounts and servers. This mode is being retired (support ends October 7, 2026). If you use it, DeepAI’s own terms and privacy policy apply to those edits.
Data Retention
- We retain your account and usage data for as long as your account exists.
- You can delete your account at any time in the app (Settings → Delete Account). This permanently deletes your account and associated data from our servers, including your credit balance and usage records.
- We may retain limited records where required for legal, tax, or financial reasons (for example, purchase records), even after account deletion.
- Edits saved on your device are controlled by you and remain until you delete them or remove the app.
Your Choices & Rights
- Delete your account and data in the app at any time (Settings → Delete Account).
- Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data. To make a request, contact us using the email below.
- We do not sell your personal information.
Data Security
- Data is transmitted over HTTPS.
- Session credentials are stored in the iOS Keychain.
- Requests to our backend are protected by Sign in with Apple and Apple’s App Attest device integrity.
Children’s Privacy
The app is rated 4+ and is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
International Users
We are based in the United States. If you use the app from outside the U.S., your information may be processed in the United States and other countries where we or our providers operate.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. Changes will be posted with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
